On 28, August in 1993, the cable-way in the Yuelu Mountain was opened to the public and it is the first of its kind in the province. It is 1238 meters long with a drop distance of 211.5 meters. The climbing angle is 21 degrees. It takes 16'22" to make a noe-way travel, carrying 500 tourists every hour. It travels high above at a wide span from Dong damen via Beijin Peak to Changsha TV Tower. Riding the cable-way, one can admire the style of the ancient city of Changsha to the east, and the pastoral beauty to the west and watch the thick and dense clouds moving up from the south and the meandering river flowing toward the north.
