Residents in Shanghai will soon be able to buy passes for bus tours through the Yangtze River Delta cities from 17 sightseeing centers.
Representatives from the 17 centers, including Shanghai, Hanghzou and Nanjing, have discussed forming one network and are scheduled to sign an agreement by May 31, Labor Daily reported today.
At present all sightseeing centers are working on their own, but are not coping adequately with tourists, especially not with the 2010 Shanghai World Expo looming.
A trial run will be carried out by the end of the year. Currently the Hangzhou Sightseeing Bus Center is selling tickets for Shanghai tours in Hangzhou.
The Shanghai Sightseeing Bus Center is near Shanghai Stadium.
