Following its temporary closure, the Olympic Park is now expected to reopen to visitors free of charge from October 10th. Tourists can visit the Olympic Park without the need for tickets, in the same way as visiting sites like Wangfujing. But tickets will still be needed when visiting Bird's Nest and Water Cube, the tickets cost CNY50 for Bird’s Nest and CNY 30 for the Water Cube.
From October 10th, the temporary facilities of the Olympic Park including security-checking infrastructure, ice chests and freezers will be removed, and the tourists can enter the common domain freely without the tickets, security-checking needed and time limited, said Wang Chun, the general secretary of the Public Management Committee of the Olympic Park.
