Tourist numbers at the Forbidden City are increasing every day. Insiders predict the number will climb one to two percent over the previous period.

In recent days, travel agency business is heating up. At one Beijing agency, hundreds of travel contracts have been signed in the last 20 days. Mrs Liu is going to spend her honeymoon in Australia.

The travel market was restrained by the financial crisis earlier this year. The market began to warm up in the fourth quarter. Traveler numbers during the National Holiday period climbed to the same level as last year. Travel agencies are going to promote some high quality products to spur the market.
Zhao Hui, GM Beijing Branch, CYTS, said, "The sales volume in November increased 25 percent year-on-year, it is the same in December. The sales volume in the third quarter increased 21 percent y-o-y."
Some routes in warmer cities of Yunnan, Hainan and some travel islands attracted more consumers. Insiders predict such warm-up trend will last the upcoming Spring Festival.
