“Lishan Scenic Area in Yicheng County, Shanxi Province, which has been given the grand title: ’Living Resource Treasure of Northern China’, has recently been opened to the public,” an official of Shanxi Tourism Bureau has declared.

Lishan Scenic Area has an area of 220 square kilometers, with nine sites of interest, including Four Saint Palace and Xuanyuan Cave. It is rich in living resources, culture and history. Containing Northern China’s only virgin forest, it preserves large numbers of rare animals and plants. It promises to be a great place for research and adventure.
