More than 100 signs of public information are available at the airport, railwaystation, the bus stop and scenic spots as well as the rods. Based on the LB/T001-1995 standards, signs of public information were set up in the star-rated hotels, tourist hotels and recreational and shopping places to meet the requirements of star-ratings and foreign-related standards.

Explanations in both Chinese and English are available at the main tourist areas. On the way to the main scenic areas are added 18 guiding road signs. 30 bulletin boards in Chinese and English were put up the main streets. All the designated tourist enterprises have employed staff who can speak English or Korean.

Public phones are available in the main streets and districts. There are 1,000 telephone booths and telecommunication agencies as well as nearly 400 telephones of magnetic cards and IC cards. The Municipal Government of Weihai gives special attention to tourist enterprises in terms of water, electricity and fuels. Money exchanges are available at the airport and star-rated hotels. There are also ticket booking networks and FIT reservation systems in the main hotels and travel agencies. Weihai Gymnasium, built in 1997 and with a floor space of 18,000 square meters, can take 512 standard booths and more than 10,000 people and is capable of hosting large-scale international exhibitions. It successfully hosted some exhibitions and matches such as '97 China-Korea Economic & Trade Fair, International Women handball Game and Handball Game between China and Britain.

Since the beginning of the selection of China Top Tourist Cities, great breakthroughs have been made to beautify the night of Weihai. 25 main roads, 16 parks and squares have been decorated with colorful lights. Thus, the tourists will find it easier to do some shopping, entertainment and enjoy food and beverage in the evening.
Colorful touring programs are available in Weihai International Bathing Beach and People's Square, which are welcomed by the local residents and the tourists.
